EasySearch 2.30: Setup Guide, Collection Directory Translations & Quicker Database Editor
EasySearch is a Year/Make/Model search and vehicle-fitment app for Shopify stores selling auto parts, tires, accessories or any products that have to fit something. The latest update (October 2026) introduces a step-by-step setup guide, Collection Directory translations with auto-translate, a quicker database editor, and more. Here's what's new:
🧭 Step-by-Step Setup Guide
The dashboard now has a single Setup guide that walks you through configuring the whole app, widget by widget. Every widget mentioned in the guide is a link that opens that widget's own guide directly, so you can jump straight to the step you need. The app also remembers which guides you've expanded or collapsed — when you come back to the page, everything is exactly as you left it.
🌐 Collection Directory Translations
Collection Directory content is created by you, so it now gets translated where it's edited. In Collection Directory settings, the Page title, Meta description and each Group title have language tabs — switch to a language, enter the translation, and the directory page shows it to shoppers browsing your store in that language. The Page handle stays the same across all languages and can be changed in your Shopify settings, as before.
✨ Auto-Translate for the Collection Directory
Don't want to fill in every language by hand? Turn on the Auto-translate toggle in Collection Directory settings and the page content is translated into all of your store's languages automatically. Anything you add or change later is translated as well. The toggle is separate from the app-wide auto-translation for widget texts, so you can decide per feature what gets translated automatically and what you edit yourself — switch it off at any time and the generated translations stay in place for manual editing.
⚡ Quicker Database Editor
The Add row button has moved into the table header, so it's always within reach no matter how long your database gets. An empty database now opens with the first row already added and the cursor in its first cell — just start typing.
🧹 Small Fixes
The attachments dropdown now closes properly after you add files, and this release includes a number of smaller fixes and stability improvements across the admin.
